Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vern Vurris (ranked 2482 p4p, 1922 weight class) and Dredd Tatum (ranked 140 p4p, 111 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vern Vurris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dredd Tatum!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Tatum misses.
Vurris looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Tatum feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Vurris sprawling to the canvas! Vurris rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tatum finish him?!

It looks like Vern Vurris has been cut.
Tatum lands a nice hook to Vurris's body. Vurris takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Vurris is breathing heavily.
Vurris drops his hands momentarily. Tatum doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Vurris staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Vurris doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dredd Tatum!
