Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonard Nimoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arto Jarvinen!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jarvinen moves out of range of the strikes.
Jarvinen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Nimoy has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nimoy there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nimoy shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jarvinen eats them both and turns towards Nimoy to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Nimoy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jarvinen.
Nimoy appears to be looking for a big counter.
Nimoy connects with a nice looking jab.
Jarvinen is rocked!
Nimoy throws a jab but it's blocked by Jarvinen.
Nimoy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Nimoy throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Good exchange - Nimoy coming out on top.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big left from Nimoy misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Jarvinen misses the target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jarvinen misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Nimoy counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Jarvinen is still on wobbly legs! Can Nimoy finish him?
Jarvinen misses with a straight right.
BOOM! Nimoy lands a beautiful left hook that drops Jarvinen. Jarvinen tries to recover but Nimoy is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Jarvinen lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Leonard Nimoy!
