Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simon Hedegaard (ranked 1011 p4p, 1261 weight class) and Chris Pauschi (ranked 125 p4p, 155 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 33 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon Hedegaard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Pauschi!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hedegaard on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Chris Pauschi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice inside leg kick there by Pauschi. That's going to slow Hedegaard down.
Pauschi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Pauschi stuns Hedegaard with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Pauschi misses with a looping left.
Hedegaard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hedegaard darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pauschi takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Hedegaard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hedegaard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Hedegaard thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Hedegaard is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pauschi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hedegaard is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pauschi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Hedegaard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pauschi keeps working.

Pauschi is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pauschi is looking to improve his position.
Hedegaard tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pauschi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Pauschi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hedegaard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hedegaard looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hedegaard is looking for a kimura but Pauschi is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hedegaard to get the leverage.

That was a close round but I would say that Simon Hedegaard will probably get the nod.

Horrible takedown attempt by Hedegaard or perhaps it was just good defense by Pauschi, which made it look bad.
Hedegaard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hedegaard stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pauschi swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hedegaard has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Pauschi after a bit of a struggle.

Chris Pauschi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Pauschi lands a big uppercut and Hedegaard crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hedegaard looks OK. Pauschi waves Hedegaard back to his feet!

Pauschi misses with an uppercut.
Pauschi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hedegaard is defended easily by Pauschi.

Pauschi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Oh Hedegaard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pauschi swings for the body but Hedegaard moves out of range.
Hedegaard seems to have got his legs back now.
Pauschi circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Hedegaard to the canvas! Hedegaard doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Pauschi keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
