Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toke Axelsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, KO Jacckson!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Winston Howard and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axelsen throws a leg kick but Jacckson checks it.
Axelsen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jacckson throws a lazy uppercut
and Axelsen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Jacckson closes the distance and clinches.
Jacckson lands a hook to the side of the head.
Jacckson blocks an uppercut.
Jacckson lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Jacckson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Jacckson lands a shoulder strike.
Axelsen is trying to break free.
Axelsen lands with a short shot to the head.
Jacckson prevents Axelsen from breaking the clinch.
Axelsen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Axelsen tries to land knees in the clinch but Jacckson avoids the damage to the body.
I was talking to Axelsen's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jacckson tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Jacckson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Axelsen's efforts to push away.
Jacckson tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jacckson lands a hook that snaps the head of Axelsen backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jacckson tries a body shot but Axelsen blocks it.
Axelsen tries to throw a body punch but Jacckson avoids it by throwing Axelsen back against the cage.

Jacckson misses with some punches.
Jacckson lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Jacckson lands a nice shot to the body.
Axelsen lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Jacckson.
Jacckson tries a body shot but Axelsen blocks it.
Jacckson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Axelsen lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Jacckson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Axelsen is trying to keep an underhook but Jacckson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Jacckson is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jacckson connects with a nice short shot to Axelsen's temple.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Axelsen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jacckson scores with a couple of nice shots.
Axelsen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacckson on the ground.
Axelsen has a hand on Jacckson's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Jacckson takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Jacckson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Axelsen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
BOOM! Jacckson connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Axelsen is looking to get to half guard.
Jacckson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Axelsen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Axelsen is rocked!
Jacckson lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Axelsen! Jacckson sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Axelsen and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). KO Jacckson!
During a confident post fight interview, KO Jacckson thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
