Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Danny Cruz (ranked 61 p4p, 523 weight class) and Kent Dew (ranked 3 p4p, 38 weight class). Cruz comes to the cage accompanied by FEEL SOMETHING. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kent Dew!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dew fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice sprawl there from Cruz as Dew shoots in.
Cruz thinks about countering with a body kick.

Dew shoots for a takedown but Cruz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Dew throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cruz's waist but Cruz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dew off to one side.

Dew shoots in looking for a takedown. Cruz tries to sprawl out of it but Dew keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cruz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Dew shoots for a double leg takedown but Cruz sprawls well. He's pushed Dew's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Dew decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Dew is taking a breather. Cruz says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Dew has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dew wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cruz keeps working.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Dew fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cruz avoids it really well and circles away.

Cruz throws an overhand right that drops Dew like a sack of potatoes! Cruz dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
