Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ingo Szopa (ranked 2890 p4p, 3484 weight class) and Paul Herrera (ranked 366 p4p, 417 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ingo Szopa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Herrera!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herrera's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Szopa connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Herrera scrambles back to his feet.
Szopa throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Szopa's corner calls for a 1-2. Szopa obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Szopa shoots in for a takedown but Herrera shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Herrera misses with a takedown attempt - Szopa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Szopa tries to throw a body punch but Herrera avoids it by throwing Szopa back against the cage.

Szopa is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Herrera can't fight it off and eventually Szopa manages to take the fight to the floor. Herrera looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Szopa connects with a nice short shot to Herrera's temple.

During a confident post fight interview, Ingo Szopa thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
In defeat, Paul Herrera stepped up to the mic, saying 'I love you all!'.
