Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Haw Thorn (ranked 87 p4p, 307 weight class) and Kokkoro Kirin (ranked 9 p4p, 18 weight class). Thorn's entrance music is For Heavy Metal we will die!. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Haw Thorn!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kokkoro Kirin!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kirin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Thorn drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Nice straight punches there by Kirin. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kirin.
Kirin throws a head kick but Thorn moves out of range.
Thorn seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.

Kirin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thorn manages to avoid it.

Kirin's coach down at Gumburcules Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kirin's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kirin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Thorn has time to react.

Kirin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Thorn had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Thorn sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kokkoro Kirin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thorn fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kirin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Both fighters circling a little - Thorn finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kirin walks into a left hand.
Kirin moves forwards but Thorn connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Thorn cracks Kirin with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Thorn has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kirin to stand back up!
Kirin is rocked!
That has opened up Kokkoro Kirin's cut even more.
Thorn feints a jab and as Kirin dips his head, Thorn unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Kirin right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Kirin falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Thorn smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Haw Thorn!
