Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chevy Iverson (ranked 2526 p4p, 2722 weight class) and Buster Posey (ranked 337 p4p, 361 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chevy Iverson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Buster Posey !
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick from Posey , right into the meat of the thigh.
Iverson lands with a nice body kick.
Iverson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Posey . Posey obviously looking to wear him down.
Iverson throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Posey let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Iverson scores with a body shot.
Iverson looks to land a left hand but Posey moved out of range nicely.
Posey checks the leg kick nicely there.
Iverson throws a head kick that misses.
Jab, jab by Posey - just one landing.
Posey fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Iverson.
Posey uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Posey throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
It looked like Iverson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Posey .
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Posey swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Iverson wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Iverson misses with a few strikes there.
Posey takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Posey misses the jab.
Iverson moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

Posey moves out of range as Iverson strikes.
Buster Posey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Iverson misses with a leg kick.
Iverson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Iverson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Posey manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Iverson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Iverson tries to land a front kick but Posey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Posey takes a swing at Iverson's ribcage but misses.

Iverson darts in and clinches Posey up against the cage.
Posey swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Posey wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Iverson has him pressed against the cage.
Iverson is leaning against Posey and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Iverson blocks a punch to the side of the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Posey .

Posey breaks the clinch.
Iverson misses with a hook.
Iverson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Iverson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Posey moves away.
Iverson tries a head kick but it misses.
Posey connects with a looping right hand.
Posey misses the shot to the body.
Iverson tries to land a front kick but Posey steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Posey looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Iverson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Still in the clinch, Posey scores with a nice short uppercut.
Posey presses Iverson against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Posey scores with a hook to the body.
A shot in the inside from Iverson.
Iverson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Posey smiles and moves away.
Iverson walks straight into a right hand from Posey - that's dropped him! Posey jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Iverson from any more punishment! Iverson complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Buster Posey !
A very excited looking Buster Posey rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
