Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Lancaster (ranked 487 p4p, 694 weight class) and Thomas Rose (ranked 64 p4p, 88 weight class). Lancaster comes to the cage accompanied by Slipknot - I Am Hated. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane Lancaster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Thomas Rose!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Rose tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lancaster was well out of range. Poor timing from Rose.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Rose throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Rose counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Shane Lancaster has been cut.

Lancaster tries for a takedown but Rose sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lancaster missing with a left hand there. Rose was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Lancaster is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Rose displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lancaster throws out the jab.

Rose connects with a nice looking jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Rose counters with a nice right hand that sends Lancaster toppling to the canvas! Lancaster scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Rose finish him?!

Rose measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Lancaster! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
