The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
McDonald closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Joteel (0) vs (2) McDonald
My spies in Blacktalians MMA inform me that McDonald has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

McDonald is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Joteel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

McDonald is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Joteel is trying to escape and McDonald transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Joteel is forced to tap! Nice work there by McDonald! Very nice indeed!
