This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 4 losses; Roman Kersikov! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 7 losses; Armad Bates!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Kersikov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bates defends well and Kersikov ends up having to push Bates into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bates turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bates might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kersikov haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

I really don't envy Bates right now.
Kersikov has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Bates's body.
