Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Tavares (ranked 3775 p4p, 4049 weight class) and Thiago Teixeira (ranked 253 p4p, 263 weight class). Jesus Tavares is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jesus Tavares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thiago Teixeira!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Teixeira falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tavares counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Teixeira needs to keep his hands up - Tavares had a free shot at his head there.
Tavares stuns Teixeira with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tavares lands with a thumping leg kick.
Teixeira throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Tavares cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Tavares. Teixeira shrugs it off though.
Tavares throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tavares looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Teixeira throws a body kick that misses.
Teixeira throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
An attempted straight right counter from Tavares misses the target.
Tavares with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Teixeira does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Teixeira pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tavares swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Teixeira misses with a series of wild punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tavares wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Tavares slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Tavares misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Teixeira.
Teixeira throws a head kick but Tavares moves out of range.
A nice leg kick from Tavares, right into the meat of the thigh.
Tavares lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Tavares throws a body shot but no joy.

Teixeira tries a head kick but it misses.
Teixeira closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Teixeira throws a low kick, looking for Tavares's leg but Tavares calmly moves out of range.
Tavares clobbers Teixeira with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tavares thows a body kick. Teixeira tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Tavares misses with a few strikes there.

and Tavares counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tavares uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Teixeira has time to react.
Teixeira throws a leg kick but Tavares moved away.

Tavares moves into range and clinches up with Teixeira.
A nice right hand lands inside from Tavares.

Still in the clinch, Tavares scores with a nice short uppercut.
A hook to the body from Tavares.

Teixeira's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Teixeira throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Tavares moves into the clinch.

Tavares has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Teixeira uses from the top position.
Tavares seems keen to control Teixeira's posture.
Tavares has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Teixeira is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Tavares has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Teixeira is looking to defend but Tavares has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Teixeira! Tavares pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Teixeira taps out and this one is all over!
