The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carretero avoids a punch combination nicely.
Carretero has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Carretero throws out a powerful jab.
Kin walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Kin is rocked!

Carretero cracks Kin with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Kin get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Kin looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
Kin is still on wobbly legs! Can Carretero finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carretero feints and then cracks Kin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kin down.

Cristóforo Carretero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kin seems to have recovered his senses.
Kin throws a head kick that misses
and Carretero counters with a nice low kick that buckles Kin's knee momentarily.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Carretero throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Kin is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the ropes! Wow!

A relieved looking Cristóforo Carretero thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
