Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jefferson Christ!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamal Hudak!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ slips a straight right by Hudak.
Christ looks for the body kick but Hudak saw that one coming.
Christ throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Hudak gets caught napping as Christ dives in and scores a takedown. Hudak manages to retain guard.
Hudak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Christ throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hudak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Hudak is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Christ is aware though and is defending well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hudak escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Christ gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hudak utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Hudak controls Christ momentarily but Christ frees himself.

Hudak had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Christ defends it easily.

Hudak has his foot on Christ's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Christ works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Christ slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Christ wanted to stand there but Hudak had control of the position.

Hudak is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Christ got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hudak has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Christ has managed to get both his arms back between Hudak's legs - danger averted.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Hudak drives through and clinches with Christ against the cage.
Hudak tries to score a body lock takedown but Christ shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Hudak has Christ pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Christ manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Christ.
Christ tries to land knees in the clinch but Hudak avoids the damage to the body.

Christ has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hudak is trying to keep an underhook but Christ manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Christ seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Hudak won't allow Christ to pass to mount.

Christ is looking for a kimura here.
Hudak moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Jefferson Christ dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Hudak misses with a takedown attempt - Christ sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hudak throws a lazy right hand but Christ sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Christ scores with a jab. Hudak acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Hudak shoots in but Christ avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Christ is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hudak.
Hudak jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Christ with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hudak to score with a decent uppercut.
Hudak throws a looping overhand right but Christ ducks down to avoid it.
Hudak throws a right hand that Christ ducks under and follows up with a left that Christ also avoids with ease.

Christ dives in and scores a takedown into Hudak's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hudak keeping moving, preventing Christ from controlling successfully.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Christ has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hudak to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Christ is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hudak pulls down on the head and he's put Christ to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jamal Hudak!
