PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noah Diaz (ranked 4755 p4p, 4653 weight class) and David Hitchcock (ranked 522 p4p, 515 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by ALL MY LIFE. Hitchcock has chosen Nightmare by Avenged Sevenfold as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Noah Diaz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Hitchcock!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitchcock throws an overhand right that lands on Diaz's shoulder, as Diaz tries to avoid the shot.
Diaz throws a quick counter kick to the body but Hitchcock avoids it.
Hitchcock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Diaz seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Hitchcock lands a left and a right that send Diaz crashing to the mat, dazed. Hitchcock thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Noah Diaz has been cut.

Diaz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hitchcock uses from the top position.

Diaz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hitchcock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Diaz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hitchcock defends it easily.

Diaz dips a shoulder and cracks Hitchcock with a mighty uppercut! Hitchcock falls back against the cage and Diaz unloads with a barrage of strikes! Hitchcock is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Diaz screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noah Diaz!
