Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Katsu Yamasaki (ranked 172 p4p, 644 weight class) and Finlay Standifer (ranked 18 p4p, 58 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Katsu Yamasaki!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Finlay Standifer!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamasaki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Standifer swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've been hearing reports that Yamasaki has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Katsu Yamasaki will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Let's hope that Standifer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Standifer in particular looking to stall.

Yamasaki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Standifer swivels and escapes.
Standifer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Yamasaki is holding his hands too far apart here. Standifer throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Yamasaki is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
