Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Durant (ranked 1678 p4p, 1273 weight class) and Chaikka Chai (ranked 212 p4p, 168 weight class). Chai has chosen Dead Man Walking as his entrance music. Chaikka Chai has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Chaikka Chai!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durant throws a predictable looking body shot
and Chai holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Durant swings wildly with an uppercut but Chai uses good head movement to avoid it.
Durant tries to work over Chai's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Chai blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Chai doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Durant wants to break the clinch but can't.
Chai tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Chai lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

A nice right hand lands inside from Chai.
Durant is trying to push Chai away but Chai has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Chai throws a series of punches but Durant avoids them all with ease.

and Chai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Chai closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
It looks like Chaikka Chai has been cut.

Chai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Durant.
As Durant backs off Chai throws a huge counter combo but Durant manages to avoid it all.
Durant misses with a looping right.
A solid leg kick lands there for Durant.
Chai drives through and clinches with Durant against the cage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Durant.
Durant lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Chai tries to land knees in the clinch but Durant avoids the damage to the body.
Durant is trying to break free.

Durant misses with the head strike.
Chai lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I was talking to Durant's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Oh Durant is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chai lands a big right hand that drops Durant! The killer instinct kicks in and Chai finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Chai!
