PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Putte Ro (ranked 2027 p4p, 2657 weight class) and Detritus Rubble (ranked 140 p4p, 165 weight class). Rubble has chosen Flux Pavilion x Feed Me - Survive (feat. meesh) as his entrance music. Detritus Rubble told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Putte Ro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Detritus Rubble!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ro lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Ro throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Ro gets control of Rubble's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ro will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rubble felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
