Makres is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: SABATON - Coat of Arms. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Unicorn Big Foot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Makres!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Big Foot shoots in for a double leg but Makres sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Makres doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Makres lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Big Foot with a poor takedown
and Makres makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Big Foot shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Makres counters with a nice uppercut.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Unicorn Big Foot. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Big Foot gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Big Foot takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Big Foot has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Big Foot there as he acknowledges the shot.
Big Foot fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Makres cracks Big Foot with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Big Foot tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Makres pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Big Foot is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

A relieved looking John Makres thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
