Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nikolai Ignatiev (ranked 4943 p4p, 1417 weight class) and Albert White (ranked 480 p4p, 197 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ignatiev counters with a lovely straight right hand!
White tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ignatiev defends well and White ends up having to push Ignatiev into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

White shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

White is working for a kimura but Ignatiev is defending it quite comfortably.

White is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ignatiev doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time White.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White is looking to advance position but Ignatiev won't allow it.

White is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ignatiev has managed to free his arm - good work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Ignatiev wants to improve his position but White is controlling well.

White is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ignatiev defends it well.
Ignatiev has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. White is working away from the top position though.

Ignatiev is controlling White's position as best he can from this difficult position.
White passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Ignatiev!
White takes Ignatiev's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Ignatiev is in trouble.

White has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Ignatiev has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

White is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Ignatiev defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

White has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Ignatiev! Can he survive? No! He's out! White gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
