Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Devils Outlaw (ranked 2452 p4p, 2574 weight class) and Akuma Manivong (ranked 297 p4p, 309 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Outlaw might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to For The Outlawz by Moonshine Bandits. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, The Devils Outlaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Akuma Manivong!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Outlaw digs a good hook to Manivong's body.
Outlaw slips a jab and a cross from Manivong.
A slow jab from Outlaw misses its intended target.
A punch lands to the side of Manivong 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Outlaw lands a big uppercut and Manivong crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Manivong looks OK. Outlaw waves Manivong back to his feet!
Manivong is rocked!
It looks like Akuma Manivong has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Outlaw misses with an uppercut.
Manivong is still on wobbly legs! Can Outlaw finish him?
Manivong moves into range and clinches up with Outlaw.
Manivong seems to have recovered his senses.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Manivong wants to work for an arm triangle but Outlaw is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Outlaw lands a nice looking body shot.
Outlaw dips to his left and cracks Manivong with an uppercut!
Excellent takedown into side control there by Manivong.
Manivong swings around for an armbar but Outlaw sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Manivong's guard.
Outlaw wants to get up but he can't break Manivong's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Manivong wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

That's time! Outlaw's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Manivong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Outlaw as he jumps to the side.
Outlaw swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Outlaw fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Manivong checks it well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Manivong is defended easily by Outlaw.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Outlaw lands a hook that snaps the head of Manivong backwards.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Manivong is looking for a sweep. Outlaw is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Manivong is looking to control Outlaw's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Manivong avoid being mounted?

Manivong sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Outlaw wants to stand up but Manivong is controlling the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Outlaw throws a right and a left that Manivong avoids nicely.

Outlaw pushes Manivong away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Manivong gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to The Devils Outlaw.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Outlaw, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
