Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Borowa Gora (ranked 59 p4p, 249 weight class) and Pate Mfer (ranked 11 p4p, 40 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Borowa Gora!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 1, fighting out of London, Pate Mfer!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mfer feints and then cracks Gora's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Gora down.
A chopping leg kick lands by Mfer.
Gora connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mfer's hands.
It looks like Pate Mfer has been cut.
Mfer throws a sloppy head kick and Gora moves out of range easily.
Mfer's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gora under the eye.
Mfer jabs Gora right on the nose. Gora blinks but takes it well.

Mfer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Gora throws a lazy right hand but Mfer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Gora counters with a nice uppercut.
That has opened up Pate Mfer's cut even more.

Mfer looks to land a combination but Gora avoids it well.
Gora throws a quick counter kick to the body but Mfer avoids it.

Gora catches Mfer with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Gora might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
