Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ty Wong (ranked 2216 p4p, 1693 weight class) and James Dalton (ranked 184 p4p, 150 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ty Wong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Dalton!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wong closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dalton quickly recovers to half guard.

Wong is looking for a kimura here.
Dalton is trying to maintain the position but Wong is very close to passing his half guard.
Wong throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Wong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Wong is working for a kimura but Dalton is defending it quite comfortably.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dalton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wong doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wong manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dalton keeping moving, preventing Wong from controlling successfully.
Wong looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Wong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dalton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wong has managed to get both his arms back between Dalton's legs - danger averted.

Dalton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wong defends well.

Dalton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wong can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Dalton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wong defends it easily.

We've been informed that Dalton has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Dalton is looking to control Wong's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dalton avoid being mounted?

Dalton has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Wong is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Dalton.

I would just about give that final round to James Dalton.

After the fight, Ty Wong was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
