Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Tavares (ranked 4495 p4p, 4159 weight class) and Randle Matthews (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randle Matthews!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares throws a body shot but no joy.
Matthews tries a head kick but it misses.
Tavares swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Matthews uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tavares has time to react.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Matthews accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's time! Tavares's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Matthews crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tavares - the referee stops the clock and Matthews gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tavares. Matthews manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Matthews drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Matthews jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
