This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 6 losses; Vasiliy Kulik! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 23 wins and 27 losses; Jab Brown!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Kulik clinches up with Brown and pushes him back against the cage.

Kulik gets control of Brown's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kulik will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Brown stays in close to Kulik's body and controls the position.
Brown stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kulik swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kulik really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've been hearing good reports from Kulik's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Brown has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kulik can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Brown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kulik wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brown keeps working.
Brown tries to roll over but Kulik keeps him under control.
