Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amadeo Thevenet (ranked 2892 p4p, 1917 weight class) and Raven Harris (ranked 335 p4p, 233 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Amadeo Thevenet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raven Harris!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Thevenet darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

It looks like Raven Harris has been cut.
Thevenet with a hook.
Thevenet clobbers Harris with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Thevenet misses the body punch
and Thevenet takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Harris steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Thevenet.
Harris takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Harris takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Thevenet misses with a wild body shot.
Thevenet dives in and grabs Harris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes down on Thevenet's head and hops out.

Harris takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

and Harris counters with a nice uppercut.

Harris now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Thevenet lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Thevenet will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Harris counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thevenet thinking.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thevenet lands a nice shot to the body.
Harris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Thevenet smiles and moves away.

Harris lands a big uppercut and Thevenet crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Thevenet looks OK. Harris waves Thevenet back to his feet!

It looks like Amadeo Thevenet has been cut.
Thevenet looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Thevenet throws a combination that misses
and Harris counters with a good low kick that Thevenet was not able to check.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Harris prevents a body shot from Thevenet.

Still in the clinch, Harris scores with a nice short uppercut.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Harris controlling the position well here. Thevenet rolled but Harris kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harris fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thevenet has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Thevenet drives through with a takedown into Harris's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Harris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
