Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vinny Dias!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Shahriyar Chai!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dias defending well as Chai loads up on a big left hand.
Dias has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Mythic Co. in the buildup to the fight.
Dias shoots for a takedown but Chai saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Chai shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dias is trying to defend but Chai finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Chai is trying to control. Dias wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Dias moves into full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Chai's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Chai seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chai distracts Dias with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Dias escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Dias is trying to control the position but Chai postures up.

Dias is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Chai defends well.
Chai stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Dias has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Chai manages to get his head free but now Dias has transitioned to an armbar! Chai grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Dias! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
