The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy takes one on the button.
Dawkins paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Dawkins shoots in and drives through. Kennedy sprawls well.
Dawkins has a takedown stuffed.
Dawkins pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Leonzar Kennedy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Dawkins.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dawkins.
Dawkins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dawkins shoots in looking for a takedown but Kennedy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dawkins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

The crowd cheers as Dawkins lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kennedy doesn't seem phased though.
Dawkins fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kennedy.
Leonzar Kennedy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kennedy jerks Dawkins's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Dawkins drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Kennedy goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Kennedy because Dawkins was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
