Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Rozhkov!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rozhkov connects with a body shot that sends Walton's belly button to the back.
Alexander Rozhkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rozhkov lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rozhkov.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rozhkov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Walton takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Walton gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

and Walton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Alexander Rozhkov dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rozhkov lands with an uppercut that bounces Walton off the cage and back into range.

and Walton scores with a counter punch that sends Rozhkov to the canvas! Walton smells blood - he's punishing Rozhkov with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Rozhkov has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Boy Walton!
