Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raimundo Forza (ranked 1204 p4p, 1781 weight class) and Johnny Ringo (ranked 167 p4p, 239 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ringo thows a left - swing and a miss!
Forza fires out a quick counter leg kick but Ringo just manages to avoid it.
Forza misses with a low kick.
Ringo appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Forza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ringo defends well.
Ringo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Forza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Forza throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Ringo escapes and throws Forza's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Forza is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Ringo won't allow Forza to sweep him here.
Ringo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Forza is looking for a triangle but Ringo pushes his legs off easily.
Forza wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ringo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Forza has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ringo has managed to get both his arms back between Forza's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round but I would say that Raimundo Forza will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ringo cracks Forza with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Forza tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Ringo pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Forza is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
