Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hendrix Cabrera (ranked 496 p4p, 637 weight class) and Jacob Parker (ranked 65 p4p, 92 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hendrix Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacob Parker!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabrera misses with a low kick as Parker jumps back.

Cabrera scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Cabrera trying to control the position but Parker is working away.
Cabrera tries to advance to mount but Parker denies him.

Cabrera wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Parker, who protects the arm well.
Parker wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cabrera is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Parker has escaped the position, nice work there.
Parker is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cabrera has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Parker is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Cabrera thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Parker is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cabrera has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Cabrera is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Parker is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Parker is pushing Cabrera's head away, looking to escape. Cabrera manages to hold on to the position though.

Cabrera is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Parker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Parker throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Jacob Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Parker misses with an attempted mid kick.
Some bone on bone action there as Parker checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Cabrera swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
That kick from Parker tenderised Cabrera's leg. Cabrera is trying to keep his angry face on.

and Cabrera connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Jacob Parker has been cut.
Parker lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cabrera with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Parker to score with a decent uppercut.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cabrera will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jacob Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Parker misses with a looping right.
A counter left hand to the body from Cabrera misses its target.
Cabrera throws a jab when Parker was well out of range.
Parker lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Parker sizes up Cabrera with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Parker does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Parker fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cabrera on the side of the head.

Cabrera throws a series of punches but Parker moves out of range.

That kick from Parker tenderised Cabrera's leg. Cabrera is trying to keep his angry face on.
Parker feints and then cracks Cabrera's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Cabrera down.

Cabrera looks for a takedown but Parker sprawls well.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Parker lands a really nice looking cross but Cabrera seems unphased.

Parker has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Cabrera is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Cabrera throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Parker's waist but Parker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cabrera off to one side.

Parker thuds his right hand into Cabrera's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Cabrera swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Parker scores with a jab. Cabrera acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It seemed like Parker was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Parker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cabrera checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Parker gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Parker manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Cabrera is trying to force a seperation but Parker has the dominant position.

Parker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Parker lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Cabrera on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Parker throws a half hearted mid kick.

Cabrera takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Parker lands a leg kick that knocks Cabrera off balance momentarily.
Cabrera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Parker pinned against the cage. Parker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Parker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Cabrera is able to avoid easily.

Parker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
