Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Svalbard Haudegen (ranked 614 p4p, 775 weight class) and Azriel Pandens (ranked 90 p4p, 105 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Svalbard Haudegen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Azriel Pandens!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pandens thuds a left hand into Haudegen's body.
Haudegen avoids the body shot from Pandens.
Haudegen misses with a straight right.
Haudegen dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pandens takes one on the button.
Pandens has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Haudegen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Pandens doesn't seem bothered though.

Pandens throws a hook but Haudegen avoids it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pandens fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Haudegen.

Haudegen tries to bum rush Pandens with a series of wild strikes but Pandens uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Haudegen is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pandens lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Haudegen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Haudegen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Haudegen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

A jab from Pandens finds it's way through Haudegen's defenses.
Haudegen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Pandens fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Haudegen manages to avoid it.
Pandens misses with a low kick.
Pandens fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Haudegen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Pandens throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A looping hook to the body misses from Haudegen. Pandens does a little dance to reset his feet.
Haudegen scores with a nice strike.
Haudegen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pandens.

and Pandens counters with a nice low kick that buckles Haudegen's knee momentarily.
Pandens scores with a crisp jab that stopped Haudegen in his tracks.
Pandens throws a head kick that Haudegen semi-blocks.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pandens throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Haudegen decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pandens's guard.

Haudegen won't allow Pandens to get back to his feet.
Haudegen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pandens looking for a sweep. Not yet Pandens, not yet.
Haudegen sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Haudegen passes Pandens's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pandens wants to improve his position but Haudegen is controlling well.
Haudegen throwing shots but Pandens is blocking nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pandens is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Svalbard Haudegen will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Pandens wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Haudegen throws a nice looking combination but Pandens bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Pandens lands a nice leg kick that just misses Haudegen's sensitive parts.
It looks like Haudegen has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Pandens takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Haudegen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Pandens.

and Haudegen counters with a single leg into guard. Pandens didn't expect that.

Pandens manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Haudegen manages to get himself to full guard.

Pandens is looking to work some ground and pound but Haudegen has wrist control.
Pandens is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Pandens looking to improve position, pressing down on Haudegen's thigh with his hand. Haudegen seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Pandens paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Pandens's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Haudegen picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
