Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Dilbrandt (ranked 1446 p4p, 1722 weight class) and Bjj Catch Wrestler (ranked 130 p4p, 157 weight class). Dilbrandt comes to the cage accompanied by Rock the Dragon. David Dilbrandt is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Dilbrandt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Bjj Catch Wrestler!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Catch Wrestler fails to land the takedown.
It looked like Dilbrandt was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Catch Wrestler.
The fighters circling - Dilbrandt throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dilbrandt takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Dilbrandt throws a lazy right hand but Catch Wrestler sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Catch Wrestler tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dilbrandt defends well and Catch Wrestler ends up having to push Dilbrandt into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Catch Wrestler lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Dilbrandt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Catch Wrestler counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Catch Wrestler fails with a takedown attempt.
David Dilbrandt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjj Catch Wrestler.
Catch Wrestler gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dilbrandt.

Dilbrandt swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
David Dilbrandt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Dilbrandt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Dilbrandt gets caught flat footed, as Catch Wrestler shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Dilbrandt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Catch Wrestler's guard.

Catch Wrestler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dilbrandt is looking to pass into half guard but Catch Wrestler pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Catch Wrestler is in guard.

Catch Wrestler is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dilbrandt holds on and takes a little breather.
Catch Wrestler lands a couple of elbows.
Catch Wrestler wants to control from the top but Dilbrandt keeps moving.

Dilbrandt has his hands on Catch Wrestler's head, controlling the position.
Catch Wrestler wants to pass the guard but Dilbrandt is keeping the position.
Catch Wrestler throws an elbow that misses. Dilbrandt uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Catch Wrestler's guard. Nice move by Dilbrandt!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dilbrandt tries to free his leg and advance position but Catch Wrestler is retaining full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bjj Catch Wrestler dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Catch Wrestler uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dilbrandt.
Bjj Catch Wrestler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Catch Wrestler closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dilbrandt to the mat! Dilbrandt manages to get full guard.

Dilbrandt has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Catch Wrestler off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Catch Wrestler is looking to clinch but Dilbrandt is avoiding it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Catch Wrestler checks a leg kick.
Dilbrandt swats away the attempt to clinch by Catch Wrestler.
Danga de danga de dang - Dilbrandt scores with a four punch combination!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dilbrandt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Catch Wrestler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Catch Wrestler shoots for a takedown but Dilbrandt saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bjj Catch Wrestler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dilbrandt slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Dilbrandt throws a lazy uppercut
and Catch Wrestler counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dilbrandt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dilbrandt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Catch Wrestler fails to land the takedown.
Catch Wrestler closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dilbrandt circles away.
Dilbrandt appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
David Dilbrandt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjj Catch Wrestler.

Catch Wrestler dives in for a single leg takedown but Dilbrandt sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Catch Wrestler looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Catch Wrestler wants to free his trapped foot but Dilbrandt is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Catch Wrestler winds up and cracks Dilbrandt with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Catch Wrestler connects with a nice short shot to Dilbrandt's temple.
Dilbrandt is refusing to be controlled, as Catch Wrestler sits in half guard.

Catch Wrestler is working for a submission of some sort.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Dilbrandt is looking for a sweep. Catch Wrestler is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Dilbrandt is trying to control but can't.
Bjj Catch Wrestler has got the better of the ground game so far.
Catch Wrestler not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Catch Wrestler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dilbrandt keeps working.
Dilbrandt wants to improve his position but Catch Wrestler is controlling well.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Catch Wrestler manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Dilbrandt on his heels. He'll look to pass Dilbrandt's guard now, I'm sure.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Catch Wrestler's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Catch Wrestler is looking to work some ground and pound but Dilbrandt has wrist control.
Dilbrandt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that David Dilbrandt will probably get the nod.
That's time! Dilbrandt's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Catch Wrestler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Catch Wrestler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dilbrandt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Catch Wrestler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dilbrandt circles away quickly and effectively.
Dilbrandt cracks Catch Wrestler with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Dilbrandt is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Catch Wrestler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A little jabbing left from Catch Wrestler on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Catch Wrestler closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dilbrandt's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Catch Wrestler drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dilbrandt dives on top into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Dilbrandt.
I think Dilbrandt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
