The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez has his takedown stuffed
letting Makres counter with a right hand.

Fabiano Martinez's cut is getting worse.
Makres punishes Martinez's body with a nice straight punch.
Martinez dives in and grabs Makres's left leg, looking for a takedown. Makres pushes down on Martinez's head and hops out.

Makres drops Martinez with a big left hand and mounts him. Martinez is in big trouble!

Makres gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Makres finds Martinez's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Martinez flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Makres lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Martinez will be OK.
