PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dude McWrestler (ranked 56 p4p, 296 weight class) and Ceaser El Toro Jr (ranked 8 p4p, 36 weight class). McWrestler comes into the arena with Acclaimed Emotions blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dude McWrestler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ceaser El Toro Jr!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, William Gold and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Toro Jr dives in for a single leg takedown but McWrestler sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
McWrestler looks to land a right hand but El Toro Jr moved out of range.
El Toro Jr needs to keep his hands up - McWrestler had a free shot at his head there.
McWrestler lands a nice shot that snaps El Toro Jr's head back.
El Toro Jr fakes a jab and throws a low kick but McWrestler checks it well.
McWrestler throws out a powerful jab.
El Toro Jr takes a body punch but keeps moving.
El Toro Jr has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McWrestler tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but El Toro Jr was well out of range. Poor timing from McWrestler.
A telegraphed right hand from McWrestler misses the target.

El Toro Jr closes the distance and clinches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for McWrestler.
McWrestler misses with a shot to the kidneys.
El Toro Jr wants a takedown.
El Toro Jr blocking some punches.
McWrestler wants to take the fight to the mat but El Toro Jr manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

El Toro Jr ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. El Toro Jr no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We've been hearing that McWrestler has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McWrestler wants to control from the top but El Toro Jr keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McWrestler looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks El Toro Jr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
El Toro Jr is trying to maintain the position but McWrestler is very close to passing his half guard.

McWrestler thows a huge punch but El Toro Jr dodges it nicely.

McWrestler is nestled in close to El Toro Jr, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
McWrestler lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
El Toro Jr tries to kick McWrestler off but McWrestler keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
McWrestler is keen to just control but El Toro Jr is a slippery customer.
El Toro Jr wants to control but McWrestler is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McWrestler looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

McWrestler scores with a big shot! El Toro Jr's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save El Toro Jr! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Dude McWrestler was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
