Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dakota Thibodeaux Jr. (ranked 283 p4p, 1088 weight class) and Ian Stronk (ranked 44 p4p, 164 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Thibodeaux Jr. might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rags2Riches. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thibodeaux Jr. on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Stronk rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Thibodeaux Jr. displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stronk throws out the jab.
A combination from Stronk does no damage.
Stronk throws a hook to the side of Thibodeaux Jr.'s head but Thibodeaux Jr. sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Stronk throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Thibodeaux Jr. to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Ian Stronk has been cut.
Stronk throws a lazy right hand but Thibodeaux Jr. sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thibodeaux Jr. swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Stronk fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Thibodeaux Jr. manages to avoid it.
A little feinted left hand from Thibodeaux Jr. on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Ian Stronk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thibodeaux Jr. ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Thibodeaux Jr. keeps the fight on the outside.
Thibodeaux Jr. looks to land a body kick but Stronk moved away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stronk. Thibodeaux Jr. does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stronk pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Stronk missing with a left hand there. Thibodeaux Jr. was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

and Thibodeaux Jr. makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Thibodeaux Jr. cracks Stronk with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Thibodeaux Jr. gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Thibodeaux Jr. uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stronk.
Stronk looks to score with a jab to the body but Thibodeaux Jr. is just out of range.
Stronk throws the left hand but Thibodeaux Jr. avoids the punch easily.
Thibodeaux Jr. tried to counter with a leg kick but Stronk avoided it.
Stronk misses the body punch
and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a right hand to the body.
Stronk misses the body punch
and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stronk jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Stronk shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Thibodeaux Jr. eats them both and turns towards Stronk to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a nice right hand that sends Stronk toppling to the canvas! Stronk scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Thibodeaux Jr. finish him?!

and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a crisp right hand that drops Stronk! Thibodeaux Jr. lets Stronk back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Stronk is still on wobbly legs! Can Thibodeaux Jr. finish him?
Thibodeaux Jr. has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Thib's Sweat Shoppe in the buildup to the fight.

Stronk takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

and Thibodeaux Jr. counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

Dakota Thibodeaux Jr. bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
