Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chaikka Chai (ranked 1870 p4p, 1533 weight class) and David Hanson (ranked 251 p4p, 218 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Chai cracks Hanson with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hanson looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Chai finish him?
It looks like David Hanson has been cut.
A low kick from Chai is predictable there
so Hanson counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Chai utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Hanson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Hanson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Chai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hanson on the ground.

Hanson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chai is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Hanson, into his guard.
Hanson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Hanson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hanson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Hanson has his foot on Chai's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chai works his way back into a safe position though.
Chai got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hanson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chai has managed to get both his arms back between Hanson's legs - danger averted.

Hanson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chai gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hanson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Chai doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Chai manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Hanson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Chai missing with a left hand there. Hanson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hanson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Chai misses with a body shot.
Chai lands a big uppercut and Hanson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Hanson looks OK. Chai waves Hanson back to his feet!
Hanson is rocked!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hanson.
Chai fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Hanson to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Hanson looks to clinch but Chai throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Hanson taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Chaikka Chai!
An out of breath Chaikka Chai thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
