Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jimmy Nitro!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Masa Satake!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Satake ducks right into an uppercut from Nitro.
Satake takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nitro looks to throw the jab but Satake is out of range.
Satake staying out of range there.
Satake follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Nitro misses with a right hand
and Satake counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Nitro throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Satake counters with an inside leg kick.
Satake uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nitro.
Satake tries to counter by closing the distance.
Nitro throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Satake slips under a jab.
Satake thinks about the counter body kick.
Nice body punch from Satake.
Satake wants to clinch.
Nitro throws a shot from downtown. Satake moves away and avoids it.
Nitro throws a right hand that misses
and Satake counters by clinching up.
Nitro has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Nitro is looking to break free of the clinch but Satake has double underhooks.
Nitro's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Satake takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Satake ducks under a wild hook from Nitro.
Nitro just misses with a punch to the body.
Nitro rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Satake counters with a nice leg kick.
Nitro misses with the combination.
Satake is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Nitro misses with a straight left.
Satake takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Satake lands a nice looking body shot.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Satake.
Nitro cracks Satake with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Satake is rocked!
Nitro lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Satake up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Nitro from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Satake's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jimmy Nitro!
