The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lankinen misses with a series of wild punches.
Lankinen missing with a left hand there. Hardaway was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hardaway swings for the body but Lankinen moves out of range.
A countering left hand to the body from Lankinen misses.
Samuel Hardaway seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hardaway ducks under a wild hook from Lankinen.
Lankinen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hardaway uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lankinen has time to react.

Lankinen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hardaway doesn't seem bothered though.

Hardaway does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Lankinen throws an overhand right that lands on Hardaway's shoulder, as Hardaway tries to avoid the shot.
Hardaway throws a hook but Lankinen avoids it easily.
Lankinen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hardaway.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hardaway. Lankinen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hardaway dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lankinen. That did some damage!
Lankinen takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Hardaway throws a right hand that Lankinen ducks under and follows up with a left that Lankinen also avoids with ease.
A jab lands there for Lankinen.

Lankinen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Hardaway finds it's way round the side to connect with Lankinen's head.

and Lankinen counters with a nice right hand that sends Hardaway toppling to the canvas! Hardaway scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Lankinen finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lankinen cracks Hardaway with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hardaway looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Lankinen finish him?
Oh Hardaway is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lankinen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hardaway jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lankinen pounces like a tiger and cracks Hardaway with a vicious hook! Hardaway is down but not out! Lankinen follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
