Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Ochoa (ranked 1024 p4p, 715 weight class) and Rayful Edmond (ranked 150 p4p, 103 weight class). Ochoa comes to the cage accompanied by Gang Signs by The Game. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Ochoa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rayful Edmond!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ron Honeybunn and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ochoa misses with a hook. Edmond ducked under it nicely.
Edmond is looking for the big counter here.
Nice jab there from Ochoa.
Ochoa does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Ochoa has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Primal Concrete Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Edmond throws a leg kick but Ochoa checks it.
Edmond steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ochoa.
Edmond was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Ochoa misses the shot to the body.
Edmond scores with a head kick. Ochoa tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

and Edmond makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Ochoa swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Edmond.

Edmond throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ochoa stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Ochoa missing with a left hand there. Edmond was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
As Ochoa backs off Edmond throws a huge counter combo but Ochoa manages to avoid it all.
Edmond lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Ochoa is breathing heavily.
Edmond tries a head kick but it misses.
Ochoa avoids the head kick by Edmond.
Ochoa moves away from the strike by Edmond.

Edmond gets a clinch.
Edmond told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Edmond pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Edmond is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ochoa.

Edmond throws a series of punches but Ochoa avoids them all with ease.
Anthony Ochoa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ochoa throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Ochoa is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ochoa lands a glancing blow to the side of Edmond's head.
Edmond uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ochoa.

Edmond throws a low kick, looking for Ochoa's leg but Ochoa calmly moves out of range.
Edmond swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ochoa keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Ochoa throws a push kick but Edmond slaps the foot to one side.
Edmond takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Edmond moves into the clinch.
Edmond works on Ochoa's body with a couple of short punches.
A left hand lands to the body for Edmond.

Edmond escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Edmond connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Ochoa's hands.

Edmond feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ochoa sprawling to the canvas! Ochoa rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Edmond finish him?!

Ochoa is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ochoa tries to keep at a distance but Edmond has taken the fight into the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Edmond creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Oh Ochoa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Edmond lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Edmond is leaning against Ochoa and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Ochoa seems to have got his legs back now.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Edmond.

Edmond pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Edmond counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Ochoa out cold! What a finish! Edmond is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rayful Edmond!
Rayful Edmond seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
