Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elrey Dorado (ranked 3454 p4p, 5094 weight class) and Olivier Aphone (ranked 440 p4p, 554 weight class). Aphone has chosen Enjoy the silence as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Olivier Aphone!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Dorado.
Aphone misses with a left hand
and Dorado cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Olivier Aphone has been cut.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Aphone has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
A swing and a miss from Aphone.
Aphone throws a hook but Dorado avoids it easily.
Aphone throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Dorado counters with a left hand that sends Aphone to the canvas!

Dorado lands a big head kick that sends Aphone to the canvas! Dorado follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
