The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wieczorek throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barnes tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Wieczorek avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wieczorek slips a jab and a cross from Barnes.
It looked like Wieczorek was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Barnes walks into a left hand.
Wieczorek throws an overhand right that lands on Barnes's shoulder, as Barnes tries to avoid the shot.
Barnes's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Barnes duly obliges.
Abraham Barnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A head kick misses from Barnes.
Barnes throws a chopping leg kick but Wieczorek manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Wieczorek throws a hook but Barnes avoids it easily.
Wieczorek misses with a straight left.
Barnes looks to land a combination but Wieczorek avoids it well.
Wieczorek throws a series of punches but Barnes avoids them all with ease.

Wieczorek connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Barnes momentarily.
Barnes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Barnes looks to score with a jab to the body but Wieczorek is just out of range.

Wieczorek rushes Barnes and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
I was talking to Wieczorek's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Wieczorek prevents a takedown attempt there.
Wieczorek lands a right hand.
Barnes wants to take the fight to the mat but Wieczorek manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Barnes is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Lukasz Wieczorek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Abraham Barnes.
Wieczorek lands with a right to the head.
Barnes is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wieczorek to keep the fight standing.

Wieczorek breaks the clinch.
Wieczorek circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Barnes to the canvas! Barnes doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Wieczorek keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
