The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puno is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rader is just riding it out for now. Puno eventually gives up the hold.

Puno is looking to take a break and control but Rader is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Rader trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Puno is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Puno throws a push kick but Rader slaps the foot to one side.

Puno fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rader, pushing him back against the cage.

Puno fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Rader looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Rader on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Puno. Puno obviously looking to wear him down.
Rader is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Puno.
Rader takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Puno cracks Rader with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Puno has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Rader to stand back up!

Rader lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rader.

A quick step to the side and Rader tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Puno cracks Rader with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Puno rushes Rader and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Rader swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Puno lands with a light punch inside.
Puno lands a shoulder strike.
Puno lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Rader backwards.

Puno drops Rader onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Rader is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Jeronimo Puno seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Puno dips a shoulder and cracks Rader with a mighty uppercut! Rader falls back against the cage and Puno unloads with a barrage of strikes! Rader is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Puno screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
