Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamaal Albashir (ranked 5840 p4p, 5801 weight class) and Kasparas Spirikavicius (ranked 607 p4p, 604 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spirikavicius misses with a left hand
and Albashir counters with a nice uppercut.
Spirikavicius avoids a punch combination nicely.
Spirikavicius rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Albashir connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Albashir looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Spirikavicius throws a hook but Albashir blocks it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fighters circling - Spirikavicius throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Albashir looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Albashir bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Albashir fires out a quick counter leg kick but Spirikavicius just manages to avoid it.

Albashir throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Spirikavicius jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Albashir feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Spirikaviciuss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Spirikavicius cracks a nice hook into Albashir's ribs.
Albashir uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Spirikavicius.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Spirikavicius takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Albashir throws a right and a left that Spirikavicius avoids nicely.
A little jabbing left from Spirikavicius on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Spirikavicius stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kasparas Spirikavicius will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Albashir lands a nice leg kick that just misses Spirikavicius's sensitive parts.
Kasparas Spirikavicius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Albashir walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Albashir weaves into range and cracks Spirikavicius right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Spirikavicius goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Albashir is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jamaal Albashir!
Our winner, Jamaal Albashir, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
