Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lazerus Limbtwister (ranked 931 p4p, 1125 weight class) and Simo Halli (ranked 137 p4p, 172 weight class). Limbtwister comes to the cage accompanied by Break Shit by - LIMP BIZKIT. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lazerus Limbtwister!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Simo Halli!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Halli darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Halli is working for a kimura but Limbtwister is defending it quite comfortably.
Halli is trying to control the action in half guard but Limbtwister is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Limbtwister looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Halli is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Limbtwister has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Halli is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Limbtwister wants to improve his position but Halli is controlling well.

Limbtwister is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Halli pulls his head out easily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Halli in particular looking to stall.
Halli is looking to advance position but Limbtwister won't allow it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Halli looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Limbtwister holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Halli is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Halli is trying to control the action in half guard but Limbtwister is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Halli closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Halli lands in his opponent's guard.

Limbtwister looking for a guillotine here but Halli defends easily.

Limbtwister had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Halli defends it easily.
Halli controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Halli's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've been hearing good reports from Limbtwister's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Halli looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Halli is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Limbtwister's half guard.
Limbtwister has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Halli is working away from the top position though.
Halli wants to control but Limbtwister is keeping him busy.

Limbtwister is staying active underneath Halli, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Well, if Halli is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Halli is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Limbtwister doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Halli.

Halli is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Halli thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Limbtwister is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Halli is aware though and is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Limbtwister has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Halli can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Limbtwister can't keep his opponent in guard - Halli advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Simo Halli has got the better of the ground game so far.

Halli takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Limbtwister is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Halli has latched onto it... Big trouble! Halli pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Limbtwister is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Halli!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Simo Halli!
Simo Halli is the new middleweight champion!
A relieved looking Simo Halli thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Lazerus Limbtwister was interviewed post fight and said 'Pretty sure he jammed his finger in my butthole, what a cheater!!!'.
