Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Juan David Franco (ranked 1260 p4p, 25656 weight class) and Finn Mcdonald (ranked 188 p4p, 688 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Juan David Franco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Finn Mcdonald!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jorge Garcia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco slips a jab and a cross from Mcdonald.
Franco displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mcdonald.
Mcdonald fails with the takedown
and Franco counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Franco lands a right hook to the body.
Franco connects with a body shot that sends Mcdonald's belly button to the back.
Franco lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mcdonald at a distance.
Mcdonald is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Franco thuds his right hand into Mcdonald's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Franco dips to his left and cracks Mcdonald with an uppercut!
Mcdonald looks winded!
Jab, jab by Franco - just one landing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Franco steps in with a hook that catches Mcdonald right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Franco follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Mcdonald looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Juan David Franco!
In his post fight interview, Juan David Franco started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
