Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Summa Sector (ranked 98 p4p, 199 weight class) and Edison Atunes (ranked 16 p4p, 33 weight class). Sector kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is For Heavy Metal we will die!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Atunes misses.
Atunes blocks a head kick by Sector.
Atunes is trying to counter with his kicks.
Atunes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sector moves away.
Sector throws the kick towards the body but Atunes avoids it.
Atunes swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Atunes chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sector can pounce on him.
Sector misses with a looping left.
Atunes misses with an uppercut
and Sector counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Edison Atunes has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Atunes scores with a head kick. Sector tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Summa Sector has been cut.
Sector takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Sector pivots, looking for a leg kick but Atunes is out of range and Sector settles back down.

Sector throws a push kick but Atunes slaps the foot to one side.
Atunes misses with a shot to the body

and Sector counters with a crisp right hand that drops Atunes! Sector lets Atunes back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Sector is looking to chop away at Atunes's legs.
Sector looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Atunes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Atunes throws a predictable looking body shot
enabling Sector to counter with a crisp jab.

Atunes is rocked!
Sector does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Atunes! But no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Atunes moves into the clinch.
Atunes using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Atunes is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Sector is defending well for now.

Sector ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Atunes moves away.
Atunes wants to counter with a clinch but Sector pushes him away.
A big right from Sector misses.
Atunes takes a kick to the side of the head.
Nice uppercut lands for Atunes. That snapped Sector's head back.
Atunes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sector swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Atunes on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sector. Sector obviously looking to wear him down.
Atunes bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sector connects with a solid leg kick.
Atunes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Sector fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Atunes checks it well.
Atunes is looking to clinch.

That has opened up Edison Atunes's cut even more.

and Sector counters with a crisp one two that drops Atunes! Sector thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Atunes to his feet! Atunes is in big trouble!
Atunes is still on wobbly legs! Can Sector finish him?
Sector lands with a right and another and another! Atunes is in big trouble! Sector lands again and this time it's lights out for Atunes! A quality knockout there for Sector.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Summa Sector!
