The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Frank.
Frank moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromJohnson.
Frank fails to land the takedown.

and Johnson counters with a head kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Everest Frank. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson misses with a looping right.
Frank has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Johnson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

and Johnson counters with a head kick that drops Frank to the mat! Frank scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Frank walks straight into a right hand from Johnson - that's dropped him! Johnson jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Frank from any more punishment! Frank complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
