Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harry Kane (ranked 1800 p4p, 2563 weight class) and Ben Simmons (ranked 37 p4p, 85 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Simmons!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Simmons lands a jab to Kane's midsection.
Simmons misses with a straight right.
Kane throws a hook to the side of Simmons's head but Simmons sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Kane has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Some bone on bone action there as Simmons checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kane lands with a right hand.
Kane walks into a stiff left hand from Simmons.
Simmons bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kane's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kane throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Simmons tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kane is in Simmons's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Simmons wants to stand up but Kane is controlling him.

Kane might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Simmons is looking to stand up but Kane isn't so interested in that idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simmons can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kane controls the pace.

Simmons has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Kane is on him like a limpet, forcing Simmons back against the cage.

Simmons tries to kick Kane off in order to stand up. Kane Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Simmons throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Simmons drops his hands momentarily and Kane takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Harry Kane will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

It seemed like Simmons was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Simmons throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kane tried to counter with a leg kick but Simmons avoided it.
Simmons uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kane.

Kane gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Kane feints and then cracks Simmons's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Simmons down.
Kane throws an overhand right that lands on Simmons's shoulder, as Simmons tries to avoid the shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Simmons has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Kane decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Simmons is trying to stand up here but Kane is controlling him well.

Simmons pushes Kane off looking to stand but Kane dives back in and keeps control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kane in particular looking to stall.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Harry Kane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kane is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Simmons felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Simmons does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Kane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kane throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Kane moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

and Kane counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Harry Kane showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kane has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Harry Kane spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
