PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Moganesh Jain (ranked 1507 p4p, 1287 weight class) and Jaxon Bremner (ranked 167 p4p, 149 weight class). Jain comes into the arena with The Monkey King blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaxon Bremner!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jain throws a hook to the side of Bremner's head but Bremner sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jain misses with a looping left.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Bremner takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Bremner gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jain throws a looping overhand right but Bremner ducks down to avoid it.
The fighters circling - Jain throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Bremner fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jain sprawls well initially but Bremner persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bremner tries to pass the half guard into mount. Jain knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jain misses the jab.
Bremner throws a leg kick but Jain moved away.
Jain is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Bremner's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Bremner throws a body shot but no joy.
Jain throws an overhand right that lands on Bremner's shoulder, as Bremner tries to avoid the shot.

Bremner shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bremner showed some decent athleticism there.

Bremner is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Jain as he works his way to full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bremner trying to control the position from guard on top but Jain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jain is defended easily by Bremner.
Jaxon Bremner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bremner lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Bremner is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jain dives into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

You can see the frustration on Bremner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Jain might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Jain lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bremner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jain sprawls well. Jain wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bremner gets slowly back to his feet.
